He then said to the paralytic, "Rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home." - Matthews 9:6

இயேசு முடக்குவாதியைக் குணப்படுத்தி, பாவங்களை மன்னிக்கும் தமது தெய்வீக அதிகாரத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். அவர் எழுந்து நடந்ததுபோல், நாமும் பாவத்திலிருந்து எழுந்து கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்ற அழைக்கப்படுகிறோம். என் வாழ்க்கையையும் ஆன்மாவையும் இயேசுவிடம் ஒப்படைத்து அவரைப் பின்பற்றுகிறேனா?

Jesus reveals His divine authority by healing the paralytic, showing His power to forgive sins, heal the soul, and give new life. As the paralytic rose and walked, we too are called to rise from sin and follow Christ toward our heavenly home. Do I trust Jesus to heal my soul and life, and do I follow Him faithfully?

எரிபலிகளையும் தானியப் படையல்களையும் எனக்கு நீங்கள் செலுத்தினாலும் நான் ஏற்க மாட்டேன்; கொழுத்த விலங்குகளை நல்லுறவுப் பலிகளாகச் செலுத்தும்;போது நான் ஏறெடுத்தும் பார்க்கமாட்டேன். -ஆமோஸ் 5:22

I take no pleasure in your solemnities; Your cereal offerings I will not accept, nor consider your stall-fed peace offerings. - Amos 5:22

                                                           மனதில் சிந்திக்க

கடவுள் சடங்குகளை அல்ல, நீதியான வாழ்வுடன் இணைந்த ஆராதனையையே விரும்புகிறார். கீழ்ப்படிதல், மனமாற்றம், இரக்கம், அன்பு இல்லாத சடங்குகள் வெறுமையாகின்றன. என் ஜெபம் என்னை அன்பிலும் கீழ்ப்படிதலிலும் வளர்க்கிறதா?, அல்லது வெறும் சடங்குகளாகவே இருக்கிறதா?

God does not reject worship or sacrifice, but worship that is separated from righteous living. Rituals become empty without obedience, repentance, mercy, reverence for God, and love for others. True worship is shown in both our prayers and our daily lives. Do my prayers lead me to deeper obedience and love, or am I honoring God only with rituals?

வாழ்க்கையின் உலகியல் மற்றும் ஆன்மீக போராட்டங்களிலும் இயேசு நம்முடன் இருக்கிறார். நாம் உதவியற்றவர்களாக உணரும்போது, இரட்சிப்பு, பலம் மற்றும் அமைதிக்காக அவரை நாடலாம். அவரது இருப்பு நம் நம்பிக்கையை வலுப்படுத்தி, எல்லா புயல்களிலும் பாதுகாப்பாக வழிநடத்துகிறது. வாழ்க்கையின் புயல்களை எதிர்கொள்ளும் போது, உதவி, பலம் மற்றும் அமைதிக்காக நான் இயேசுவை நம்பி அவரை நாடுகிறேனா?

Jesus is present with us in both the worldly and spiritual struggles of life. When we feel helpless and overwhelmed, we can turn to Him for salvation, strength, and peace. His presence assures us of His protection, strengthens our faith, and guides us safely through every storm. When facing life's storms, do I place my trust in Jesus and turn to Him for help, strength, and peace?

Peter thus was being kept in prison, but prayer by the Church was fervently being made to God on his behalf. - Acts 12:5

ஆரம்ப கால விசுவாசிகள் துன்புறுத்தல்களை ஜெபத்தின் மூலம் எதிர்கொண்டனர். பரிந்துரை ஜெபம், பிறரின் உடல் தேவைகளுக்காக மட்டுமல்லாமல், அவர்களின் குணமடைதல், மனமாற்றம் மற்றும் இரட்சிப்பிற்காகவும் ஜெபிக்க நம்மை அழைக்கிறது. பிறரின் ஆன்மீக நலனுக்கும் இரட்சிப்பிற்கும் நாம் எத்தனை முறை ஜெபிக்கிறோம்?

The early believers faced persecution and fought their battles through prayer. Intercessory prayer calls us to pray like Jesus, bringing before God not only the physical needs of others but also their healing, conversion, and salvation. How often do we pray for the spiritual well-being of others and not just their earthly needs?

Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me. - Mt 10:37

இயேசு, அவரையே எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக முதன்மைப்படுத்தி, எல்லாப் பற்றுதல்களையும் விட்டுவிட நம்மை அழைக்கிறார். கிறிஸ்துவே கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்வின் மையம். என் வாழ்க்கையில் கிறிஸ்துவை முதன்மைப்படுத்தத் தடையாக இருப்பது என்ன?

Jesus calls us to place Him above everything and everyone, letting go of all attachments for His sake. Christ is the center of Christian life, and our relationship with Him comes before every other bond. Is there anything in my life that I am placing above Christ or finding difficult to surrender to Him?

ரோமானியப் படையில் பெரும் அதிகாரம் கொண்ட பதவியில் இருந்தபோதிலும், அந்த நூற்றுவர் தலைவன் இயேசுவின் முன்பாகத் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்தினான். இயேசுவின் ஒரு வார்த்தை மட்டுமே தன் ஊழியரைக் குணமாக்கும் என்பதை அவன் முழுமையாக, எவ்வித சந்தேகமுமின்றி நம்பினான். நாமும் அத்தகைய அசைக்க முடியாத விசுவாசத்தைப் பெற முயல்வோமா?

The Roman Centurion, despite holding a position of high authority, humbled himself before Jesus. He possessed a completely doubt-free faith, knowing that just a single word from Jesus would heal his servant. Shall we strive to possess that same kind of unshakable faith?

இக்கட்டான சூழ்நிலையிலும் அந்த தொழுநோயாளர், 'உமக்கு விருப்பமானால்...' என்றே மன்றாடினார். நெருக்கடி நேரத்தில் நம் ஜெபங்களை இறைவனின் திருவுளத்தோடு ஒன்றிணைப்பதே உண்மையான விசுவாசம். நம் வாழ்வின் கொடிய தருணங்களிலும், 'உம் திருவுளம் நிறைவேறுவதாக' என்று சொல்லும் அளவுக்கு நாம் அவர் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைப்போமா?

Trapped in a desperate, isolated situation, the leper prayed, 'if you are willing.' This powerful act of surrender teaches us that no matter how urgent our crisis, true faith means aligning our prayers with His divine will and trusting His heart. Can we trust Him enough to say, 'Your will be done,' even in our most desperate moments?

Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them

will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. - Matthew7:24

கிறிஸ்து நமக்கு சோதனைகளற்ற உலக வாழ்க்கையை ஒருபோதும் வாக்குறுதி அளிக்கவில்லை; மாறாக, மன உறுதியுடன் நிலைத்து நிற்கவே நம்மை அழைத்தார். அவரில் நிலைத்திருந்து உறுதியாய் இருப்பவர்கள் அனைத்து சோதனைகளையும் தாங்குவார்கள்; இறுதியில் முடிவில்லா நித்திய வாழ்வை அடைவார்கள். இன்பத்திலும் துன்பத்திலும் நாம் அவரோடு நிலைத்திருப்போமா?

Christ never promised an effortless earthly life; rather, He called us to endure. Those who remain steadfast in Him will sustain all trials and, in the end, achieve everlasting life Shall we abide in Him through rain and shine?

இறைவனோடு இசைந்துபோன தாவீதின் இருதயம் அவருக்கு அளப்பரிய ஆசீர்வாதங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்ததுடன், இயேசுவின் வம்சாவளியில் இடம்பெறும் பாக்கியத்தையும் அளித்தது. அவர் குறையற்றவராக இருந்தாலும், அவரது ஆழ்ந்த மனந்திரும்புதல் அவரை எப்போதும் இறை கிருபைக்குள் மீட்டெடுத்தது. இன்று நாமும் நம்மைத் தாழ்த்தி அவரிடம் நெருங்கும்போது, இறைவன் நம் வாழ்வையும் தம் நன்மையால் நிரம்பி வழியச் செய்வார் என்பதை அறிந்து நாம் ஆறுதல் அடையலாமல்லவா?

David’s heart aligned with God, bringing him immense blessings and placing him in the lineage of Jesus. Though far from perfect, his deep repentance always restored him to grace. Can we take comfort knowing God's love works the same way today—that if we humble ourselves and draw close to Him, He will faithfully overflow our lives with His goodness?

How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few. - Matthew 7:14

இயேசு நமக்கு நித்திய ஜீவனுக்கான பாதையைத் தெளிவாகக் காண்பிக்கிறார். இயேசு நிலையான பாதையில் நடந்ததைப் போலவே, நாமும் நம்முடைய சொந்த சிலுவையைச் சுமந்து, எல்லாவற்றையும் அவரிடம் அர்ப்பணித்து, அனைவரையும் அன்பு செய்து வாழவேண்டும். உலகத்தின் கவனச்சிதறல்களில் இருந்து விலகி இந்த குறுகிய பாதையில் நாம்  நடக்க  தயாராக இருக்கிறோமா?

Jesus showed us that the road to eternal life is a narrow one. Following Him means carrying our cross, surrendering our desires, trusting Him fully, and loving others as He did. Are we ready to leave worldly influences behind and walk this path?

உங்கள் தலைமுடியெல்லாம் எண்ணப்பட்டிருக்கின்றது. சிட்டுக் குருவிகள் பலவற்றைவிட நீங்கள் மேலானவர்கள். எனவே, அஞ்சாதிருங்கள். -  மத்தேயு 10:30-31

Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. - Matthew 10:30-31

நற்செய்தி முழுவதும் அச்சத்தைக் கைவிடுமாறு இயேசு கூறுகிறார். நம் தலைமுடியை எண்ணுமளவிற்கும், சிட்டுக்குருவியைக் காக்குமளவிற்கும் அவர் விழிப்புடன் இருக்கிறார் என்றால், நம்மீதுள்ள அன்பு எவ்வளவு ஆழமானது! இதை உணர்ந்து, நம் கவலைகள் அனைத்தையும் தயக்கமின்றி அவரிடம்  ஒப்படைப்போமா?

Throughout the Gospel, Jesus constantly reminds us to let go of fear. If He is ever-present and vigilant, knowing the exact number of hairs on our head and guarding the smallest sparrow, how much deeper is His care for us? Knowing this, can we confidently surrender all our worries to Him without holding back?

இயேசு, பயம், செல்வம், உலகக் கவலைகள் நம்மை ஆள விடாமல், இறைவனின் அன்பான பராமரிப்பில் முழு நம்பிக்கை வைக்க அழைக்கிறார். நற்கருணையில் கிறிஸ்து நம்மோடு உடனிருந்து, ஒவ்வொரு நிச்சயமற்ற சூழலிலும் நம்மை பலப்படுத்துகிறார். இன்றைய கவலைகளை அவரிடம் ஒப்படைத்துவிட்டு, நாளைக்கான அருளில் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கச் சொல்கிறார். இன்று இயேசுவிடம் ஒப்படைக்குமாறு அவர் நம்மிடம் கேட்கும் அந்தச் சுமை எது?

Jesus calls us to trust completely in God's loving providence and not be ruled by fear, wealth, or worldly concerns. In the Eucharist, Christ remains with us, strengthening us through every uncertainty. He invites us to surrender today's worries and trust in tomorrow's grace. What burden are we holding that Jesus is asking us to place in His hands today?

ஆண்டவர் சீயோனைத் தம் உறைவிடமாக்க விரும்பினார். - திருப்பாடல்கள் - 132:13

The Lord has chosen Zion for his dwelling.Psalm -132:13

திருப்பாடல் 132, இறைவன் தனது வாக்குறுதிகளில் உண்மையுள்ளவர் என்பதை நினைவூட்டுகிறது. திருமுழுக்கின் மூலம் நாம் அவருடைய அன்புப் பிள்ளைகளாகவும், அவர் வாழும் ஆலயமாகவும் மாறுகிறோம்.  தண்ணீரைத் திராட்சை ரசமாக மாற்றிய கிறிஸ்து, நற்கருணையில் தொடர்ந்து உடனிருப்பதுபோலவே, நம் அன்றாடத் தியாகங்களையும் அவர் அருளாகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாகவும் மாற்றுகிறார். நாம் அவருடைய உண்மையுள்ள பிள்ளைகளாக வாழ்கிறோமா?

Psalm 132 proclaims God's faithfulness to His promises, fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Through Baptism, we become His beloved children and living dwelling place. As Christ transformed water into wine and remains present in the Eucharist, He transforms our daily sacrifices into grace and joy. Are we living as His faithful children?

This is how you are to pray. - Matthew 6:7

ஜெபம் என்பது கடவுளின் மனதை மாற்றுவதல்ல, மாறாக நம் இதயங்களை அவர் உருமாற்ற அனுமதிப்பதாகும். இந்த நற்செய்தியின் மையப்பொருளான 'மன்னிப்பு' என்பது தவறை நியாயப்படுத்தாது; மாறாக மனக்கசப்பிலிருந்து நம்மை விடுவித்து, இறைவனின் அருளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள உதவுகிறது. எளிமை, நம்பிக்கை, மற்றும் முழு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தலுடன் ஜெபிக்க இயேசு நம்மை அழைக்கிறார்; நாம் ஜெபிக்கும் வார்த்தைகள் நம் வாழ்வில் பிரதிபலிக்கட்டும்.

Prayer is not about changing God's mind but allowing Him to transform our hearts. Forgiveness, the heart of this Gospel, does not excuse wrongdoing; it frees us from resentment and opens us to God's grace. Jesus invites us to pray with trust, simplicity, and surrender, allowing our lives to reflect the words we pray.

இதோ! நெருப்புத் தேரில் எலியா விண்ணகத்துக்குச் சென்றார். - 2 அரசர்கள்  2: 11

Behold! Elijah was taken up to heaven in a chariot of fire. - 2 Kings 2: 11

எலியா தன் பணியையும் ஆவியின் வல்லமையையும் எலிசாவிடம் ஒப்படைத்தது, இறைவனின் பணி தலைமுறைகளைத் தாண்டி தொடர வேண்டுமென்பதை நினைவூட்டுகிறது. நாம் இறைவனின் திருவுளத்தின்படி வாழ்ந்து, மற்றவர்களை விசுவாசத்தில் வழிநடத்தி, இறைவன் அழைப்பவர்களுக்காக ஜெபிக்க அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம். இவ்வாறு நாம் திருச்சபையை பலப்படுத்தி, நிலையான ஆன்மீக பாரம்பரியத்தை விட்டுச் செல்கிறோம்.இறைவனின் பணியைத் தொடர மற்றவர்களை நாம் ஊக்குவித்து வழிநடத்துகிறோமா?

Elijah passing his mission to Elisha reminds us that God's work continues through future generations. We are called to live God's will, mentor others in faith, and pray for those whom He calls. By doing so, we strengthen the Church and leave a lasting spiritual legacy for God's kingdom. Are we helping others continue God's mission?

Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned. - Psalm - 51:3a

இறைவன் வெளிப்புற காணிக்கைகளைவிட மனந்திரும்பிய இதயத்தையே விரும்புகிறார் என்பதை திருப்பாடல்கள் நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறது. நாம் நம் பாவங்களை மனப்பூர்வமாக ஒப்புக்கொண்டு அவரை நோக்கித் திரும்பும்போது, அவர் தம் அருளால் நம்மை மன்னித்து, புதுப்பித்து, சீர்படுத்துகிறார். நாம் தாழ்மையுடன் நம் பாவங்களை ஒப்புக்கொண்டு, இறைவனின் இரக்கத்தில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, அவருடைய மன்னிப்பையும் புதிய வாழ்வைத் தொடங்கும் அருளையும் நாடுகிறோமா?

Psalm reminds us that God desires a repentant heart more than outward offerings. When we sincerely acknowledge our sins and turn to Him, He forgives, renews, and restores us through His grace. Do we humbly acknowledge our sins, trust in God's mercy, and seek His forgiveness and the grace to begin anew?

கடவுள் நமக்கு அளித்துள்ள கொடைகளான நம் திறமைகள், ஆற்றல்கள், பதவி மற்றும் வளங்கள் ஆகியவை அவரை மகிமைப்படுத்தவும் மற்றவர்களுக்குப் பயன்படவும் உரியவை என்பதை இந்தக் கதை நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறது. ஆனால், ஆணவம் மேலோங்கும்போது, அதே கொடைகள் சுயநல ஆதாயத்திற்காகத் தவறாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு, மற்றவர்களுக்கும் நமக்கும் பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தக்கூடும். அவர் நமக்குத் தந்த கொடைகளைத் தாழ்மை, நன்றியுணர்வு மற்றும் அன்புடன் பயன்படுத்தும்படி  நம்மை அழைக்கிறார்.கடவுள் நமக்கு அளித்த கொடைகளை நாம் மற்றவர்களுக்குப் பயன்படவும் அவரை மகிமைப்படுத்தவும் பயன்படுத்துகிறோமா, அல்லது நம் சொந்த விருப்பங்களை நிறைவேற்றிக்கொள்ளப் பயன்படுத்துகிறோமா?

This story reminds us that the gifts God gives us our talents, abilities, position, and resources are meant to glorify Him and serve others. But when pride takes over, those same gifts can be misused for selfish gain, hurting both others and us. God calls us to use His gifts with humility, gratitude, and love. Do we use the gifts God has given us to serve others and glorify Him, or to serve our own desires?

பிரசங்கம் செய்வதற்கோ அல்லது அற்புதங்களைச் செய்வதற்கோ நாம் அழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்காமல் இருக்கலாம்; ஆனால், நாம் இருக்கும் இடங்களிலெல்லாம் வீட்டில், பணியிடத்தில், நமது திருச்சபையில் மற்றும் சமூகத்தில் கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பை வெளிப்படுத்த நாம் அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம். அன்புடன் செய்யப்படும் ஒவ்வொரு கருணை, ஊக்கம் மற்றும் தியாகம் சார்ந்த செயலும் இறைவனின் பணியின் ஒரு பகுதியாக அமைகிறது. அன்னை மரியாளைப் போல, நாமும் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் இறைவனின் அழைப்பிற்கு அன்போடும் நம்பிக்கையோடும் பதிலளிக்கிறோமா?

We may not be called to preach or perform miracles, but we are called to bring Christ's love wherever we are be at home, at work, in our parish, and in our community. Every act of kindness, encouragement, and sacrifice offered in love becomes part of God's work. Like Mary, do we answer God's call each day with love and trust?

“நீங்கள் பேசும் போது `ஆம்' என்றால் `ஆம்' எனவும் `இல்லை' என்றால் `இல்லை' எனவும் சொல்லுங்கள் ”  - மத்தேயு  5: 37

“All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’" - Matthew 5: 37

இயேசுவின் சீடர்கள் தங்கள் வார்த்தைகளிலும் செயல்களிலும் நேர்மையாகவும் நம்பிக்கைக்குரியவர்களாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்றும், தங்கள் நேர்மையை நிரூபிக்க அவர்களுக்கு வாக்குறுதிகள் தேவைப்படக்கூடாது என்றும் இயேசு போதிக்கிறார். நம் சொற்கள் கிறிஸ்துவின் சத்தியத்தில் நிலைத்திருக்கும்  ஒரு ஆன்மாவை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறதா?

Jesus teaches that His followers should be honest and trustworthy in their words and actions, not needing promises to prove their sincerity. Their integrity should reflect a heart transformed by God’s truth. Does our speech reveal a soul faithful to Christ and committed to truth?

“பெருஞ்சுமை சுமந்து சோர்ந்திருப்பவர்களே, எல்லாரும் என்னிடம் வாருங்கள். நான் உங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் தருவேன் ”  - மத்தேயு  11: 28

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" - Matthew 11: 28

                                                          மனதில் சிந்திக்க

பலவீனர்களுக்கும், துன்பப்படுபவர்களுக்கும் இயேசு இரக்கத்தையும்  கிருபையையும்  வாக்குறுதி அளிக்கிறார். உண்மையான இளைப்பாறுதலும் நிலையான மகிழ்ச்சியும் உலகில் அல்ல, மாறாக கிறிஸ்துவிலேயே கிடைக்கின்றன. நாம் அவருடைய சித்தத்தில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து நம் பாரங்களை அவரிடம் ஒப்படைக்கிறோமா, அல்லது இன்னும் சொந்த பலத்தை நம்புகிறோமா?

Jesus assures mercy and grace to all who are weak and burdened. True rest and lasting joy are found not in human relationships or earthly possessions, but in Christ alone. Are we surrendering our burdens to Him trusting His perfect will, or are we still relying on our own strength?
